Well I over/under watered my begonias so I have to cut them all the way back but everything else is full speed ahead.

Signs of Summer!

Peach Queen

The little peach tree you saw earlier in bloom and starting to fruit is ripe and ready! This is just the very first picking. While smaller they are good right off the tree, as I use no pesticide ever. I think peaches and cream will be in order tonight.

The table (yes I painted it) is a $50 yard sale find complete with 4 solid maple chairs.

Green Tomato White Cheddar Flat Bread Pizza

Could not resist the green tomatoes growing in the pots outside but instead of frying I wanted to try something else. Thin slices of vidialia onion layered with green tomato, and instead of traditional red sauce, two cloves of garlic, olive oil, red pepper flakes, sea salt and pepper, shreds of fresh basil. The cheese is NewYork Extra Sharpe White Cheddar, and after using the micro grater, really only needed 1/2 of the cheese for nice coverage and good flavor.

Field Day for Kids

I got a couple of good bike rides in and took pictures of the children getting ready for tug of war!

Burial at Sea

NOT the old fashioned kind, just bury your best friend from the neck down and torment them. These will be great pictures when these girls get married to show at a wedding dinner!

School of Fish Grows

My school of fish is growing and its fun to add to it as an illusion so kids have to look to see how many fish are really swimming by. Some colourfull seaweed was also added.

More Fish More Mural

I am mixing more hidden fish in the mural and adding seaweed for colour.

Sea Turtle Greeting

These little guys are by the front entrance to our little school, I had to hurry and paint them last year so I think I will go back in and add more depth and detail, especially in the sky area since it is pretty much just a wash. I will also start a new mural to give the kids something to look forward to when they return next year.

No Barking on The Dance Floor

My dance area has been taken over by Dot and Dash and from the looks of things no dancing is required to occupy the space.

Dim Sum Anyone?

Stuffed rolls with cabbage, green onions, and pleated rolls with shitake mushrooms and red peppers. Pleating was easier that I thought.

Moms Remembered

I have some dear girlfriends who passed in the last couple of years. They were great mothers, some I have the honor of seeing their children frequently to hug, ride bike with, and still see her dear face in their eyes, looking back at me. I will never forget you, nor will your children. Happy Mothers Day, enjoy your rest and see you on the next return.

Mothers Day

Had a lovely lunch with Mom over, gifted her with a dozen huge red roses, extra dark chocolate, picture frames and candles. My dear little one made me a card, a bud vase and the glittery beaded bag here that matches all the colours of my summer dresses!! It is all teal blue in the back, liner and handles.
