Life is a Tarot Card

My wise teacher said if you look around you its pretty easy to see a "tarot" card all around you, plants look like wands, a dog becomes strength, a person Queen or King of a set. The card today is the Lovers, and I ran across a designer couture dress with the symbol on the front of the gown. The gown is princess like and the lovers are bound together strong roots as she feeds her lover the apple of desire.

On a personal note I think the model captioned above needs some color on her lips, cheeks and eyes so the dress doesn't "wear" her. Lovely wearable art.

Chasing the Carrot

This year brings a heavy work load, and while grateful to be blessed with the opportunity to regain what was lost, I hope, along with others, that we do not forget things of importance, such as love, tenderness and companionship.

I can have all the toys in the world and not be happy if it is not shared.

I am sure the woman and man captioned below did not have as their last breathing thought on this earthly plane "I wish I had worked more".

Love can't be bought.

Chinese New Year/Year of the Horse

No I didn't paint this one but it inspires me to get busy with the one on my easel. The Year of the Horse.

I usually think of the horse as a worker, constant motion, forward, so hopefully this will be a year of progress rather than stagnation as like others I am sick of our "leaders" who only make things a bigger more complicated mess. A horse is also similar to the "8" card or Strength in the tarot deck, a force to be reckoned with, made of steel.
