Wild Photo and More Fish

I stuck a wild mermaid photo up there instead of my broom rider, I hate having my picture taken but refuse to cheat and use old pro shots! Mr. Turtle got some friends today and I will continue to add to the story board, it was too cold today and my energy was lagging. My redheaded muse is posing in front of her mermaid.

Office Help Asleep at the Switch

My rescue kitties insist on "helping" me on a daily basis, whether holding down files, riding the copy machine, swatting at faxes as they print out, however these two have taken coffee break too far.

A Special Broom for a Special Girl

I broke two brooms in two days, no not from riding in excess, just worn out. I stopped at the local catch all store to pick up a broom and found this beauty, and I know you are all jealous and want one. What kind of nut bar designs a zebra broom? I can't help but look at it an laugh so maybe sweeping will be fun and if I need it for transportation? Well, it won't be like parking a black BMW, it won't blend and will be easy to find. UPDATE: I was shopping & found a throw that matches, I had to restrain myself from making that purchase, imagine me wearing that as a parka and sweeping, flying...

7 Days do Make a Difference

What a contrast from the wet heavy snow and ice of last Saturday. Today is almost 60 degrees and sunny, and no excuses to keep me from starting to clean up the debris from the ice storm. There were broken tree branches, some as long as 12 feet in the yard. I placed many of the smaller long leaf pine branches and big cones in the pots on the front porch till I can move my blooming flowers out there. Maybe tomorrow I 'll purchase some pansies and cabbage, they can take the weather. Pruned the roses and hacked away at the pampas grass which is taking over in some spots. The outdoor kitties beds are in the dryer so fresh clean linens for the critters tonight.

D Admits to the beautiful flowers

I am pleased to announce I do not have a stalker, and as I suspected, the taste of the arrangment pointed to someone special to me. However, my friend had a pink rose laid in her car seat, at her home, no card so there is a stalker out there, just not one for me.

Mystery Flowers/Who Done It?

Ok friends, if one of you sent these you have lovely, expensive taste as a dozen pink roses in a pink vase that is not "telaflora" (meaning this is a custom arrangment) please step forward. They arrived late Saturday and my husband who gave me roses the last two weeks in a row would have taken credit for it, also the person used my long distance toll free number for a contact number, called me Mrs. and signed it "Rocky". The only Rocky I knew was my cat, long since passed and no, I have nothing going with Slyvester Stallone. Considering the low profile I keep I cannot imagine that it is not from one of you having a little fun? Otherwise, we have a stalker!

It Was A Dark & Stormy Night

Well, thanks Snoopy, you got that right. Tree limbs were breaking and crashing all night, power lines humming, and a transformer exploded due to the 6 inches of wet heavy snow, a very rare event at the beach, but very beautiful.

Spaghetti Success and Sea Turtle

The kids fund raiser/dinner last night was very festive and a huge turnout, with a line backed out into the parking lot. Due to cold weather the line was moved indoors along the story wall where I have just added a sea turtle who is still under construction but pretty friendly looking. I found out later over 500 meals were served what a great sucess for the PTO efforts!

NPR Story got it wrong, living proof provided

I listen to NPR for several reasons, classical music during the day, other lively mixes of jazz, blues and poetry, short stories and of course, dreaded news. I have to stay ahead of my work so it helps. I was making dinner one night and a lady was reading her short story, 0f how she brought in her plants and no matter what she did they died. It was a depressing tale and I gave my own plants (a gift from D) a side glance and worried a bit as they were they same variety as described in the story, however a wise woman told me she has seen them 50 years old.

Using the Girlfriend Tree and Dash Models

I stuck the girlfriend tree in the hallway and think I'll just decorate it with whatever is in vogue at the moment since the hall is narrow and dark by my standards. Dash decided to become a male model when he saw all the attention Dottie was getting. They are rescue pups, brother and sister, no way could I seperate them. A good example of love at the time we express love.

My REALLY Funny Valentine

Mother Nature is ready for Valentines Day, and Dottie is modeling a marking on her little back in the shape of a heart. Her "pants" look like Mickey Mouse.

My REALLY Funny Valentine........

Dottie is modeling this time, wearing "only what God gave her" which is a natural marking in the shape of a heart on her back. If you look close, she is wearing Mickey Mouse for pants.

Midnight Mermaid

I am slack posting pictures so here is one of my favorites, Midnight Mermaid.
