Recycling Project for Candles

I hated to throw out my Christmas gift candles, the scent was so wonderful, but that last inch or two won't burn. I save little glasses here and there from other candle sets. Simply melt the wax by placing the jar in a low simmer of water. I used a glue gun to set wicks which I leave long during the process for better control. I poured these in two layers, cilantro pineapple and sugar cookie on top. Trim wicks and save those for more candles. Flowers from DD's next door add to the beauty of the table this evening.

False Spring?

We spring forward today which means setting the clocks ahead one hour, so everyone will off an hour for quite awhile. Some states don't have the daylight savings silly thing (my opinion) to create even more havoc. And the moon phase on Monday should add up to a strange salsa of events. I have put the lettuce outside as it can take a bite of cold should the temps creep back down, but my hibiscus are still waiting. I almost lost one putting it out too early and don't wish to visit a repeat. l

Here are my new cards, its easier to see the beauty of them I can show in a photo, they are so beautiful but a bit different than the tradtional, and I am understanding them but need both sets for class, so maybe I jumped a bit ahead of myself.

I am off to find a deck of Tarot cards that speaks to me. Will post what I find later. Also in need of art supplies, and lunch with Mother so a much needed break from daily duties is to be had.
